Hi Anonimus-

really a nice trilobite, the right eye seems to be good preserved. Sorry, I can´t help you with the determination of this bug, I have my literature not at hands...
The colour of the shell looks great, and it´s good visible how the thoracic segements are fitted together.
Maybe Jens can say something about your trilobite, he´s really a specialist for nordic ordovician trilos...
Thank you for showing, I would like to see more of your trilobites...

Best wishes
Micha

This is an old post here but I'm wondering if this trilobite was ever correctly identified? If not, successful ID could be difficult without good complete dorsal views of both cephalon and pygidium (if present), plus perhaps post-preparation views of the eyes. It looks like a Pterygometopid but I don't think Chasmops. perhaps some form of Calyptaulax?

Hi Achatella58,

I agree with you, with this two pictures a correct identification of this trilobite should be impossible. Maybe one day anonimus will show new pics, it would be interesting to see more of this bug- after preparation it could be a very fine trilobite...

best wishes,
Micha
